Welcome back, INVESTOR! I love seeing what other people are invested in because it separates conviction from conversation, don’t you? Allow me to introduce you to Eddy Elfenbein. Eddy is a stock market enthusiast and the founder of Crossing Wall Street, a website that offers investors his unbiased view of the market. The big draw here is going to be his buy list of 25 outstanding companies that he locks in and can’t make any changes to for 12 months. I love that he aims to focus on outstanding businesses and over the past 18 years of doing this, he has a compounded total return of 573% vs the S&P500’s return of 447%. Eddy thinks that success on Wall Street is very simple and most investors miss this: Buy and hold shares of outstanding businesses. That’s it. So this is a fantastic place to check out what he’s buying which is also put in their (CWS) ETF. As investors, we should want to mimic the idea of just buying and holding outstanding businesses to let the compounding machine work its magic. So, I took his list and created a SPREADSHEET with a few extra dividend stats for your viewing pleasure. What’s cool is that Eddy also gives his “buy below” price, and if you agree with that number, you can build in your margin of safety by going 10% or 15% lower.
