Weekly Dividend Roundup 10/23/20

10/19- 10/23/20

Earnings season continues and one of my favorites has had a precipitous drop! Lets see what I bought this week-

Kimberly-Clark (KMB) – I bought Kimberly-Clark just before earnings in case it was bad, which it was perceived to be. Thankfully I still have some cash reserves so I can buy more at a discount this week. Their 5 year P/E average is 26.50, and it currently sits at 19.90, or 25% undervalued. Did you know 1/4 of the earths population uses a KMB product at least once a day? Kimberly Clark’s stock was trading at $134.16 on March 11th, 2020. Since then, KMB stock has increased by 2.0% and is now trading at $136.88.

Merck & Co. (MRK) – Just building a position here and I’ll probably keep adding 1-2 shares a week until I reach full size. Merck & Co., Inc.’s stock was trading at $79.25 on March 11th, 2020. Since then, MRK stock has increased by 0.7% and is now trading at $79.83.

AbbVie (ABBV) – AbbVie is quickly becoming one of my larger positions, and I’m ok with that. They are one of my favorite dividend growth stocks, and have a very nice payout ratio of only 44% (according to Marketbeat). AbbVie’s stock was trading at $84.85 on March 11th, 2020. Since then, ABBV stock has decreased by 0.6% and is now trading at $84.34.

PepsiCo (PEP) – As I type this I am drinking a Cherry bubly sparkling water, as my drink of choice as sober October winds down. Bubly is a PepsiCo product, and so are the Quaker oats I had for breakfast. That’s PepsiCo, feeding the world and I’m going to be buying a share a week until I hit 100.

ExxonMobil (XOM) – Are we finally seeing a bottom in this sector? These are tenuous times, and sometimes they make the best investments for the long term, which is what I’m doing. Buying for their dividend income.

And as always, listen to the podcast every Tuesday and Friday. Thanks!
