Weekly Dividend Roundup 9/4/20

8/31 – 9/4/2020

Another weekly dividend roundup that saw a volatile end to the week that was. As a dividend growth investor, we keep buying all year round, so let’s take a look at what was bought-

AbbVie (ABBV) – 2 seperate tranches were purchased, as I think AbbVie is currently a great long term buy and hold. News came out this week about a house subpoena looking at their Humira drug pricing. Prices took a dip and I bought. I love me some AbbVie for that juicy yield!

PEP (PepsiCo) – The Friday buy of PEP continues. I will continue to add to this blue chip behemoth at least 1 share a week until I reach 100.

O (Realty Income) – another stalwart of the dividend growth community that pays a monthly dividend to boot. I love having money in real estate that is a low barrier to entry, but I do not have to deal with tenants and toilets.

JNJ (Johnson & Johnson) – The best of the best. JNJ is one of the strongest dividend growth companies for a reason and I see no reason for a slowdown anytime soon.

ADM (Archer Daniels Midland) – Chicago based HQ that’s feeding the world, is a dividend aristocrat, and a starting yield over 3%.

ACI (Albertsons)- Albertsons is a recent IPO that has been falling in price since. I added them as I have fond memories of shopping at local Chicagoland Jewel with my grandparents, since acquired by Albertsons. As of this writing, they have not announced their first dividend, so stay tuned for that!
